Hello everyone! Welcome to a new and exciting HOW TO FEED BY HYLA! This time we’ll be learning HOW TO FEED A WHITE TIGER!
Step 1. Dress up like an antelope.
Step 2. Get real close.
I wrote the note above and stuck it on my wall when we went away, so the very nice person taking care of our house could see it. It may have worked, since when we got back, Bastet (the tiger) was looking mighty pleased with herself. And a little full-looking, I might add.
Hope you’re having a great November 5,
The fifth of November
Gunpowder, treason, and plot
Was Guy Fawkes a devil?
The Stuarts all saints?
Are we glad that they stopped him,
Keep those bonfires a-burnin’!
Since my last bread post, I’ve baked two more BBA challenge breads (ciabatta and cinnamon rolls/sticky buns), but haven’t had a chance to write about it. soon!
I just saw this on Peter Reinhart’s blog:
Keep an eye out for an upcoming article in the Washington Post about the group who have decided to bake through every recipe in The Bread Baker’s Apprentice. I think it may appear in about two weeks, but I did an interview with the reporter who is writing the story.
If any of you read the The Washington Post and see the article, would you let me know and/or send a link? Thanks!
Lots to post, but haven’t had time — because of all the things we’ve been doing that I want to post about. Coming soon, news on the last day of school, the Medieval Festival, the last violin recital of the year, and, yes, bagels!
