Last night, as Hyla was tucking me in to bed (yes, she does that, because I go to bed earlier than anyone else in the household), she ran to her bedroom for a minute, then ran back in and put something down on my bedside table.
Then she quietly and sweetly told me, “Have a good night, Mom. The ducks will keep you safe.”
I didn’t know what she was talking about, I was sleepy, and the room was dark. So I thanked her, kissed her, and then drifted off to sleep.
This is what I found this morning.
She was right. I was safe all night long.
That’s soooo sweet!!!!
Thank you 🙂
That was the sweetest thing EVER!
