Someone in the history of this 200+ year-old house planted some apple trees. We’re grateful.
The trees are scattered around the property, old, misshapen, and a bit eccentric looking, but they bloom every year and they produce wonderful apples, particularly the Golden Russet trees, whose apples are so perfect for pies, you feel you can’t make a pie with anything else.
They just started blooming at the beginning of this week, and the light was perfect the other day to take some photos.
While I was taking photos, Gryfe was celebrating spring in his own way.
